Macbeth

"Black Macbeth will seem pure as snow,"

Macbeth is standing, facing us with the crown proudly on his head. One side of him is light, pure, and full of snow. The other side of him, which is more like the internal view of his character, is dark. The crown on that side is dripping with the blood of those he murdered to get it (Duncan/Guards) and those he murdered in his reign (Lady Macduff, Macduff's son, etc.)

I had to do two drawings for an imagery project alongside with my best friend, Chels. We had Darkness/Night imagery, which is cool because I love that stuff. I'm actually quite proud of this drawing because I made him look so evil. I like the darkness twisting out of him and I actually made it seem like it was snowing, which yes was difficult to picture at first.

I was in quite the "dark mood" when I drew this, so I guess my dark emotions are also expressed through Macbeth. I guess part of me on the outside does look pure as snow, but deep down inside I'm suffering of dark emotions that I will not show. The only thing is, I didn't kill people. Killing people is BAD. But, maybe the blood dripping down symbolizes how I'm heartbroken and how my heart is bleeding for the one I'd sacrifice for.
